daniel diotti

Daniel Diotti was born in 1948 in a small location outside Buenos Aires.

At an early age he demonstrated his dedication to drawing. At the age of 12, he participated in his first contest, where he won first prize.
Thinking that he would not be able to live of his art, discouraged him. Nevertheless he continued attending to the workshop of teacher Francisco Gonzalez Colqué ,where he was formed as a painter.
Despite the multiple activities he developed (he was a merchant, designer, businessman) he never abandoned his passion for painting.
Participating in contests was his way of keeping active in the art world. The recognition stimulated him to go on. His only daughter encouraged him to become a "Full Time" painter.
His wide range of expressive possibilities goes from simple lines drawings to complex abstract works. In addition, he works in third dimension, in reliefs, sculptures and objects.

A quiet artist, he avoids the hustle and bustle of the big city. He prefers the great open spaces. He travels to Patagonia often, to enjoy the scenery and vast extension of open land.

"He who busily searches for results, is mistaken. The issue is to search a state of harmony, the pleasure to do. The art piece, it is always a consequence."
